4th generation horseman, Craig picked up the family trade at a young age. He grew up working with his father, Paul Cates, and began training horses at the family business, Paul Cates Stable, in Texas. There, he trained American Saddlebreds for clients of all ages, from competing in local shows to Louisville at the World’s Championship Horse Show, and teaching their riders how to ride!
Over a decade later, Craig has moved to Northern Kentucky and founded Southern Sky Stables where he continues to do what he’s passionate about- training horses and teaching people how to ride!
